about

The Concert for Healey Gabison was a benefit concert to raise money for our friend Healey's medical treatments. This album is a document of our performance that night. We played alongside the Dunnie Bobos, Silver Eyelids, NO FUN, and Los Encantados. This ended up being one of the last Oh No live performances ever.

------------------------------
I meant to put this album out years ago. We had the whole show recorded from the audio board and by two camera operators, Sammy Gallo and my old CNN colleague Spencer Scott. Sammy and Spencer got some pretty good audio from their cameras that night. I had this idea to edit the whole show and put it out on a DVD (LOL). Well that didn't happen. But about 10 years ago now, I edited the footage of the Oh No set and put it up on YouTube, where it has remained lightly viewed, aside from my kids who will periodically ask to see my old band.

Earlier this year, I went through the audio again and re-edited it a bit. Then I handed it over to Brett Parnell to do some mixing on his end. Brett is a man of many talents and one of them is mixing. Brett then handed the music over to Tommy Harron, who is just an artist at mastering. Both Brett and Tommy found little things in the music that I couldn't bring out in my years of on and off again tinkering. For that, I'm incredibly grateful to both of them.

Well here we are now with this, possibly the best recorded Oh No! & The Tiger Pit show. I'm very proud of this show. We weren't always the cleanest band and often very far from it. But this one is pretty tight. And we were still lively as hell. And maybe it won't just be my kids rocking out to this now.
